We had a beautiful day in Yosemite. It was a long day, but totally worth it. Joe was our guide and made sure we saw the best sight during our tour. We had some confusion about pick up place. It would have been helpful for them to tell us more specifically where our pick up was. Other than that it was a Terri. Day!

While this tour is a long day, the national park is beautiful and definitely worth a visit if you have a spare day in San Francisco. The tour included ample stops for breaks and photo opportunities, and some walking through the tall sequoia redwoods. Our guide Phil was friendly and struck the right balance between talking and letting us have our own down time. His enthusiasm for Yosemite was great and I appreciated that he brought binoculars and a telescope to assist us observing the incredible rock climbers! All in all this was a great day and I would recommend the tour. My only minor criticism is that better pick-up options could be coordinated via the Viator/Tripadvisor websites, including options for those staying outside of the Bay area. I understand the company is working on this which is great to hear.

The whole tour experience depends on what type of person you are. I like walking and hiking so I usually prefer not to go on organized trips with agencies, but booking a tour was the only way I could arrange visiting the park this time. The concept of the tour was a lot of driving around the park and stoping for taking pictures of different views. We made only two longer stops, lasting one hour, one hour and a half. To be fair, the park is really big so it's hard to see everything in one day just walking, but I would prefer skipping a couple of short stops to have more time to explore during the longer stops. The tour guide was telling some interesting stories during the ride, but on the longer stops he wasn't with us, everybody just did their own thing. So if you are the kind of person that doesn't like a lot of walking, just seeing some nice views with no effort, you might actually enjoy the tour. But for me that wasn't what I expected. The thing that bothered me the most, and also some other passangers, was the driving. The guide was driving really fast and sometimes it really made me feel uncomfortable. The minibus looked ok from the outside, but it was a really shaky ride. I read about that in others user's comments thinking that they are probably exaggerating, but it's completely true.
