What To Expect
1
FBI Headquarters
Our tour starts at one of the most iconic buildings in DC, the FBI Headquarters. Home to a disguise shop, forensic lab, and the site of countless stories about protecting America from domestic threats.
2
National Portrait Gallery
The National Portrait Gallery houses images of Americans from today and yesterday including the famous President's Gallery - stop in or pass by, admission is free to all!
3
Chinatown Arch
We love DC because it blends eras of American history and global cultures - here in Chinatown, explore this microcosm of Chinese heritage in a uniquely American way.
4
Calvary Baptist Church
We're not taking you here to preach, but to show you a site of significant religious turmoil that helped create a modern-American religious movement.
5
Ford's Theatre
History is generally marked by its sadness just as much as joy. Here, at the final fissure in the Civil War, learn about the story of how Lincoln's death crystalized a nation.

We enjoyed the self-guided tour and appreciated the explanations and history. It did seem like we were doing a bit of back-tracking. A suggestion would be to rearrange the tour so that there’s less circling back.

The walk itself was very comfortable and easy. No steep hills or stairs to climb. The highlighted stops were very interesting but since I went on a Saturday some of the buildings were not open to go inside. There is a voluntary but entertaining quiz after each site where you can answer the questions based on information you can observe from the location that you are at. I did have a slight problem starting my tour because the instructions were not very intuitive for me. I ended up having to call the tour operator who was very professional, understanding and kind, and he helped me start my walking tour from the meeting point. Make sure you exchange your ticket for a voucher, take the voucher ID number, go to their website, enter the voucher ID number and your email and your tour will start. That information was not clear in the initial directions. All in all, I highly suggest this walking tour.
