Explore San Diego's hidden gem of snorkeling! Everyone who visits San Diego knows about La Jolla, but did you know there's an even better snorkeling spot? Avoid the big waves and crowds with this more relaxed snorkel experience geared for all skill levels.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our snorkel.

Groups are small (maximum of 5 participants, with occasional exceptions for private groups/families) which makes a more intimate and personal experience.

Matt is an great guide! He takes into account everyone’s experience levels and will always make sure everyone feels safe and has fun. He also wants to make sure everyone gets a chance to see the different creatures as well as point out interesting views. I would highly recommend him for any level of snorkeler, from beginner to experienced! He is very knowledgeable and we had a great time.

Friends who had done this recommended we do on our vacation. It was spectacular and I would recommend 100%. Matt was responsive, clear on the meeting location, set the safety rules, and provided information on how to use snorkel equipment along with an incredible knowledge of marine biology. We had a group that included a 10 yr old afraid of mask when she put on, a teenager, a 63 yr old cranky guy along with 3 easy going middle aged parents. Matt was able to adapt to our group of 6 and everyone said it was a great experience and would do again. His adapting to personalities is what made the excursion for us moms on the trip perfect so we could have fun too. The photos and videos he provided us were a huge bonus to remember the trip by. Even though he taught us how to snorkel, we’ll be signing up with him again next vacation to learn more since his knowledge was wonderful

Matt is awesome!! So enthusiastic and you can tell he genuinely loves his job!my two boys, 10 and 8, got to see giribaldi fish, sea stars, sea urchin, and even an octopus!! This was their first time snorkeling, and I’m so glad we booked this experience with Matt. He was very patient, caring, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend!! Bonus: Matt also sent us photos afterwards that become wonderful keepsakes!
