Visited today in December 2021. The exhibits were insightful: Exhibits: Vasily Kandinsky: Etel Adnan: Light’s New Measure Event, Around the Circle, Gillian Wearing: Wearing Masks - eccentric simplistic pieces that and are thought provoking.

Okay, so modern art isn't my thing but I knew that this was a big place to visit whilst in New York. The building is not my style either and it was packed inside. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the Gillian Wearing : wearing masks exhibit. A English artist who made soft masks of friends and fellow artists and then took portraits wearing them. I found it very striking, including the photos of her as her family members. At first glance you wouldn't notice anything wrong and then at second glance you see it. Very cool! The museum shop is well filled and although I personally didn't like this art style im sure for fans of modern art it's a sure thing.

I’ll start sayingthat one of my main reasons to be in NYC was to visit this gallery for a second time and I was very exiting an looking forward for this visit, when I got there I found out that they were some rooms close due to “work in progress” which already made me sad, on my first visit I had the same experience, then I started my tour and discover a Russian artist that got my full attention and started to view his works when I decided to get a single picture and took my mask off for a few seconds (No one was around me) when the security guard near by came and a very disrespectful way asked me to put my mask back and continued with his approach rudely !!!! At that point I got really upset and aggravated with the incident and ruined my whole experience but what really surprise me and made me even more upset was that he apparently called the gallery’s Mgr. and after talking to the security passed closed to me and said “Good Job to the security” without even knowing the real situation or at least ask the visitor what happened, now I may spect lack of good manners and else from the security guy but I sincerely a bit more of “Gallery’s Management Etiquette” I fully understand your house rules like in any other Museum but let me remind You that every one besides wearing masks is fully vaccinated !!! It should be some respect for your visitors, there’s no need for rudeness or disrespect for anyone !!!! PD. Mr. Trevor I’ll encourage a better training to some of your employees when it comes to talk to galley lovers !!!! The art exhibit was superb !!!
