What to Expect: We care about your health and safety. Please note that as of August 19, 2021, New York City is requiring a COVID-19 vaccination for admission to the Guggenheim for anyone who is eligible. At arrival, you will need to present valid vaccination documentation and a photo ID prior to gaining entry to the museum. Proof of vaccination may include NYC COVID Safe app, New York State Excelsior Pass, CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or an official immunization record from outside NYC or the U.S. More information can be found here. Children below the age of 12 will be allowed in with a vaccinated adult.

You’ll need to wear a three-ply mask regardless of vaccination status — staff is required to, too — practice social distancing, wash or sanitize your hands frequently, and pack light as our coat check is temporarily closed. Please plan ahead and read COVID-19 Safety Measures:

Beautifully architectured, no queues, and with plenty of space, this museum was a welcome visit towards the end of a busy N.Y. trip. The range of modern art includes sculpture, paintings and photography. The photography was particularly interesting and thought provoking, as was the exhibition on the top floor regarding a person who had died in police custody.

Using the cantilever idea, Frank Lloyd Wright turned most of the exhibit space into a giant ramp. Not only are the exhibits interesting, being in this space is simply awesome! I do recommend stopping by a nearby spot to eat and use the restroom, FLW did not offer enough public restrooms. Stop by the next time you are in NYC, you will be glad you did.

A beautiful building I a great setting. While the art doesn’t compare to the Met the building itself is inspiring and worth the visit!
