The Hilma af Klint exhibition was on during our visit, and I appreciated the variety of images and the history associated with them, even though I'd probably not be tempted to display many of them. I loved the light and airy feel of the building.

We went to the Guggenheim on 13 May after buying tickets on line. We didn’t know until we were in the line (in the rain for 30 minutes because there is no separate line for pre-purchased tickets) that the spiral was closed until 24 May and currently has no art. We were only allowed to visit side galleries. One flour has 4 pieces of sculpture (one being a grass hut). Another has primary school children’s drawings/wire sculptures and and worse still was a collection of approximately 50 PORNOGRAPHIC photos featuring the photographer himself engaged in gross, deprived acts. The only items which can be described as art were 20 to 30 impressionists paintings which are on permanent display. THE PLACE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED.
