I took my daughter and her friend horseback riding at Lake Sonoma. We did the Rocky trail which overlooks Warm Spring River. It was spectacular and gorgeous. Our guide was very informative and excellent with the 2 new riders in the group. She also gave us coupons for some of the local wine tasting rooms. Prior to the ride, we had a picnic lunch overlooking the Lake then we hiked 1 of the trails which goes through some redwood trees and has great views of the lake as well as the Vineyards.

My wife and I went on a private beautiful wine country tour (which we were told was the most scenic) with Nikki. It was a first time for my wife, and the third time horse back riding myself. Nikki was a wonderful guide and walked us through the horse riding experience the entire tour. Through out the ride she kept checking on us to sure everything was fine, provided frequent instructions, checked our saddle equipment etc..Nikki's attentiveness and care made us very at ease and allowed us to enjoy the scenery without worry despite our inexperience and the steep hills (no steep climbs, but the trail over looks some steep hills) The horses themselves were also very beautiful, and obedient without any incidents that made us afraid. The wine country trail had amazing views overlooking lake Sonoma, and also down south into the valley overlooking the wineries below. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we highly recommended even for first time riders.
