Our tour operates by special permit on the Fort McDowell Native American Reservation and takes place off the beaten path on beautiful desert trails located near the Verde River at the base of Four Peaks Mountain. The Segway is perfect for the terrain and relaxed atmosphere of the Sonoran Desert. What To Expect

Fort McDowell

The Segway allows you to view the desert flora and fauna without all the encumbrances of vehicle windows and doors. The Segway will ensure a safe smooth ride over the native caliche earth while enjoying the beautiful sites of Giant Saguaro Cactus

What a GREAT time. This was our first Segway experience. The Segway training was quick, fun and more than adequate for the tour. Cowboy Wayne is what elevates this tour to something special. He is passionate about the Arizona desert, and definitely a people person. The whole tour was filled with fun and lots of information. We will do this again when we're back in Scottsdale. KIM that closed toe shoes are required, no sandals or flip-flops

We were just vacationing in Carefree, AZ and while we were there we took a 2 hour Segway tour with Adventures Out West. No one in my family had ever ridden a Segway before and it was not only easy but really fun! We all loved zipping around the dessert with our group!

On Saturday (3/12/2016) a group of us took the Segway Tour starting on Hiawatha Hood Rd at Fort McDowell and traveling into the desert. In our group we had 4 people who had never been on a Segway before and in no time at all they were off without any problem. This was due to the excellent instruction we received. This was so much fun we can't wait to do it again very soon.
