South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

This was our first time doing a guided hike. Wildland Trekking has great information on their web page and the registration process was excellent. We were joined by 3 other hikers and our guide, Myriam. The other hikers were wonderfully pleasant and I have to say having Myriam as our guide was awesome. She contacted us a few times prior to the day of the hike to help us be prepared. She was very informative and truly made sure we were all comfortable with the pace of the hike so that we could truly enjoy the hike. Overall, I highly recommend!

The hike was a fun trail that provided beautiful views of the Canyon and also a good workout! My guide, Shayne Hall, provided great conversation and history on the Canyon! Highly recommend the hike!

Loved the hike and the guide. It was totally overcast when we started. But Louie, my guide, was able to tell me the history of the Grand Canyon , the fauna and the geology. He made the hike interesting until the fog lifted and the beauty of the canyon was revealed. Lunch and snacks were included. Wonderful experience
