Space Center Houston has the world’s largest collection of moon rocks and lunar samples for public view. Known around the world as the home of NASA Mission Control, International Space Station Mission Control and astronaut training, guests are taken behind the scenes to see NASA Johnson Space Center.

Our family decided to visit the Space Center after our cruise from the Galveston port since our flight was in the evening. We were able to check in our luggage with customer service. They did charge $7 per piece of luggage which was stored in a room just outside the front entrance (it would have been nice if that was complimentary). The Space Centre was amazing and we enjoyed the NASA Johnson Space Center Tram Tour which was included with the admission. Be sure to book that right away when you arrive at the center. You could sign up for the tour using the app but we went Guest Services to book ours. We spent 4.5 hours here before we had to leave to catch our flight and we felt we saw most of the displays. Thank you for Pooja from Guest Services that helped our large family book our tours, provide change for the souvenir machines, and also helping retrieve our luggage at the end of our visit.
