First of all I’m a space junkie so going to The Johnson Space Center was special. I was 5 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon and I remember it well. Visiting on the eve of the first landing for me, was already pretty cool. My advice is to get their as early as possible. Our reservations were for the first group in (0900) and we still had an hour wait for the white tour which goes to Mission Control. Make sure to book that tour when you first arrive or you may not get it at all. I would book the blue tour (training center) next and lastly the red tour (rocket park). Our group enjoyed the exhibits as well. Seeing history and learning about our next steps into space, Artemis, was cool. We did not book any extras just general admission and stayed for about 6 hours. It definitely got crowded as the day went by so again, go early. Food wasn’t bad, I’ve had much worse at Disney parks. Souvenirs were a bit pricey but I’m sure you could find something in budget to commemorate your visit. I’ve been to both Kennedy and Johnson space centers and prefer Kennedy but there is no replacement for seeing the authentic Mission Control for the Apollo project.

Didn’t know what to expect but this was excellent. So much to see and explore. Really wished we had our grandson’s. Loved the hands on experience. We really enjoyed it. So worth the experience.

The Space Center is definitely worth the price! Great for children and families, super interesting for people who want to learn more about the history of space exploration. If you want to see the historic Apollo Mission Control Center, make sure you have enough time during the day. You need to book a (free) ticket for the white tram line, which is high in demand apparently. I saw in the reviews that these tickets are sold out within the first hour after opening. It's not entirely true, because they release more tickets during the day. In my case, I arrived at noon and was able to book a ticket via the app at 1.30pm. Ask the staff when the new tickets are going to be released - they are very kind and made this journey unforgettable for me. The white tram line only covers the Mission Control Center, so you might need another day to try other tram lines as well. The tour was guided, but the speakers on the tram were not loud enough based on my experience. Also, make sure that you arrive in time for boarding. I had some issues with the app - if you experience the same, just talk to the guys at the service desk. Overall, this is a must-visit in Houston for the whole family.
