When guests come to visit from out of town, we always make sure they don't leave without touring NASA! Not once in 30 years has anyone not loved their visit. The tours are fantastic and are loved as much by seniors as they are by kiddos. There are things to interest all age groups. With this summer being the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, a visit in 2019 can't help but be special!

So this review is biased in the fact that just being near and walking around the Saturn V rocket skews this review toward the positive. Being able to walk and appreciate the Saturn rocket just in time for the 50th of the Apollo 11 landings was pretty special. You have to take a shuttle to it, and the lines are rough (go early) but worth it to take in the scale of the thing. Plenty of things for kids to do, actually exhibits were a bit more sparse than I hoped, but you do get to touch a moon rock so that was pretty cool to do with my daughter. I would definitely advise planning all day for the visit if you can, there is just too much to do in an afternoon or so. Food was expensive but they do have a lot of options.

There is a lot to see at the Houston Space center: The Saturn V building is on a scope that boggles the mind. The astronaut training building is fun to watch as they prepare for the next international space mission. Lots of pay-for and free things to do at the main terminal. BUT... even though the main building and Saturn V building are only about 500 feet apart, expect to stand in line for over 45 min to take a shuttle. I asked if we could simply walk next door and was told, "No, we don't allow pedestrian traffic" (unless they are slowly shuffling along in line. Same thing at every stop. All in all, I spent 2/3 of my time over the afternoon in line. Attn management: Get a Disney person in today!!!! They know how to move people along... you don't.
