Bought tickets thru Viator and walked up to the ticket booth and got tickets immediately for the needle. Walked around outside viewing area, then down one flight and had a drink at the bar while we watched the city as we circled. Chihuly was gorgeous -both the indoor and outdoor exhibits. Amazing history of this artist. Glass blowing demo and people describing some of the rooms indoors.

The Space Needle/Chihuly Garden and Glass combo ticket is a great deal and worth every dollar! The combo ticket allows you to reserve a specific time for the Space Needle (especially important during the busy summer months and on weekends) plus enter Chihuly Garden and Glass at whatever time you'd like. The Space Needle is iconic and definitely worth going. Recently, the top viewing levels were redone. It's glass all around where you can get a 360 view of the surrounding area. Lots of picture opportunities as well as the ability to grab a snack or beverage and relax (top level). One level down is the rotating part of the Space Needle. This used to be a restaurant and now is more open and welcoming. There is a small snack/drink area where you can sit and watch the world go by. Even with a timed ticket, expect to wait up to 30 minutes to get on the high speed elevator to the top (friendly elevator operators and a quick trip). Plan on at least 30 minutes at the top; definitely check out both levels. Chihuly Garden and Glass is spectacular. Having been there multiple times it offers amazing sculptures, art and a very cool "vibe". Take your time walking around the ornate and intricate sculptures in every room. Be sure to check out all the incredible glass in the outdoor garden (even if it's raining!). You can make your way through the entire place in 30 minutes and give yourself 45. There is a movie about Dale Chihuly which is worth seeing if you have the time; if not it can be missed. Pro Tip: whether you are a local or just a visitor to Seattle, park downtown by the Nordstrom flagship store and take the monorail to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. It's a fun, unique way to travel to and from the attractions (cost is ~$3/person each way).
