This was an e experience I will not forget. The ride to the observation deck was fun, even got a video of taking the elevator ride up. While on the observation deck, the views of the Seattle area were beautiful. The floor with the moving glass floor was great as well.

4.2/5 We visited in August 2021, during a major heat wave. The Needle and area around it were - in my mind - very busy. There was still a mask mandate in place (and a no talk mandate throughout the elevator to the top/down). Key things to know: 1) The view of downtown seattle, the harbor, ocean, and Mt Ranier were excellent outside - but it will become packed with people taking selfies during peak times. Mind you, they are always monitoring # of people inside - but it can be pretty crowded. 2) The inside spinning glass floor level is air conditioned. The glass floor itself was very cool, but the very slow and continuous spin is not for everyone. Personally, I found it a little irritating but my young kid loved it. 3) Gift shop was packed and overwhelming. I would recommend that the SN managers consider doing some "quality control" and reducing the # of gifts on display, and widening the space within the entire gift shop store.

Chihuly Garden and Glass was lovely thank goodness because we waiting in line at the Space Needle for 40 minutes after our reservation time of 3p. before giving up and finally leaving. It was 90 degrees with no shelter from the sun, and no information was passed along about the reason for the delay or how soon we might be able to go up. Really disappointing and terrible customer service. If you want to visit observation deck get tickets in the morning or evening (and skip the premium), don't og in July/August, or make a brunch or dinner reservation. I'll send guests on their own next time.
