St. Augustine Ghost Tour: A Ghostly Encounter

Overview
This is a 90-minute, unscripted walking tour that will take guests deep into St. Augustine’s darker history. Professionally licensed guides share stories passed from one generation to the next about the oldest city’s strange and difficult past. Tours are multi-generational, family friendly and pet friendly. Although guests with mobility limitations will also enjoy the tour, there are some steeets that may present a problem for certain wheelchairs/motorized wheelchairs.

Tours include some history and a lot of mystery. Guides will also provide instructions on how to use ghost hunting tools (which can be rented for $5). Guests are allowed and encouraged to bring along their own ghost hunting tools as well.

Our guide was Staci -- and she was great. She was very much "in the spirit" but not crazy 'over-the-top,' and had some great stories to tell as we walked to the fort and back into the colonial quarter and among some cemeteries. Staci dressed the part in a fun, old-timey black dress and carried a lantern as she guided us in a fun way. She makes her crowd feel comfortable and tells cute jokes at times amidst the real history tales and accompanying spirit-tales. Very glad we did this with our three teenagers on our last night in St. Augustine. We did the 8:20 tour, which was great because the sun went down as we walked and the temperature became much more tolerable for walking. Plus -- cemeteries are more spooky in the dark! :)
