St. Augustine Ghost Tour: A Ghostly Encounter

Overview
This is a 90-minute, unscripted walking tour that will take guests deep into St. Augustine’s darker history. Professionally licensed guides share stories passed from one generation to the next about the oldest city’s strange and difficult past. Tours are multi-generational, family friendly and pet friendly. Although guests with mobility limitations will also enjoy the tour, there are some steeets that may present a problem for certain wheelchairs/motorized wheelchairs.

Tours include some history and a lot of mystery. Guides will also provide instructions on how to use ghost hunting tools (which can be rented for $5). Guests are allowed and encouraged to bring along their own ghost hunting tools as well.

Staci was an amazing tour guide! She is a great storyteller and brought life to all the spooky stories of St. Augustine. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In the beginning of the tour, it started to pour for about 10 minutes and Staci led the way under a big tree where she was able to continue telling us the history and haunting stories about the nearby places. The rain didn't phase us at all and after it stopped, we managed to walk and see the places she was talking about and then we continued on our tour. It was overall a great experience. If you are a history buff and get a kick out of the paranormal, be sure to take this tour!

Thank You! That was a pretty good drenching there for a few minutes but the weather never stops Staci from telling her stories. That is part of what makes Florida so much fun..Many nights we start with.."It was a dark and stormy light" complete with light and sound effects from mother nature! Luckily it only lasts a few minutes! Welcome to the family!

Wonderful drama embedded into historical facts that pulled the audience in. Matt did an amazing job. We ended up going over our time but we completely enjoyed his passion for history. Worth every penny. Might have even captured the essence of Elizabeth at the city gates.

Thank you for your great review! We work very hard to blend history with our storytelling to give our guests a great experience. Matt is as skilled a storyteller as there is! I have no doubt that you were in the hands of the best! Thank you for recognizing that our tours are priced well! If you have that photo of Elizabeth we would love to see it - Please send via email to [email protected] Thank you again and welcome to the family! (Please accept my apologies on the very delayed response - I somehow missed this last July!)

As a local who has "heard it all before"... I've gotta say, Jan, our guide made the stories we have heard fresh and interactive.. And also told us a few we hadn't heard before. We've done several ghost tours around town and this one was by far our favorite. Her vibrant, tough (but somehow childlike and joyous) personality shined through and made our night both magical and comedic. She was a delight to watch and listen to. Money well spent. Avoid the tours hosted by the trolley companies and go here. Ask for Jan. She will not disappoint you. Truly an amazing historian and story teller. Five stars.
