We reserved our boards with their easy on-line service. The dude at the shop was SO helpful. Gave clear instructions/advice and was friendly while he did it. There IS wind when you paddle back, and based on other reviews I was a little worried, but it was ok. There IS wind.. but we made it back just fine. The guy at the shop told us we made our reservations on the best day- Sunday- because it’s the only day of the week the kayak tour companies don’t run. I think we saw 10 people at the falls. It was a great day, with great service.

We’re so glad you had a great time! Yes, it’s true that Kayak companies are no longer able to do any commercial activity on the river on Saturdays or Sundays, so we’re glad you came on Sunday! Thank you for the follow up, hope to see you next time!

Paddling was fun, but definitely difficult, especially on the way back (it's about four miles of paddling total). The hike was great and scenic. Definitely take a dry bag with snacks and water
