Overview

Your 5-hour Fully Guided Tour begins with meeting your tour guide at 24 State Street where you will make your way to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Ferry. Board the ferry for your first stop, Statue of Liberty where you will receive a personalized overview of Liberty Island. Continue on the Ellis Island where you will hear interesting facts and history and see the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Return to Battery Park where you will walk over to the 9/11 Memorial, right next door to the 9/11 Museum with the option to upgrade to include an entry ticket. I scheduled a guided tour to Statue of Liberty,Ellis Island, and the 9/11 Memorial for 10/12/2021. Met at designated spot, and questioned staff ( despite receiving a confirmation number) if we would have access to the pedestal, and was they were uncertain. Tour guide information, we could have easily looked up on Google. Arrived at Statue of Liberty and was informed by the ranger we did not have access. The museum to the 9/11 Memorial was closed, which were suppose to be included. I followed the procedure to ask for some compensation and was told I received everything I paid for. We decided to take the guided tour to fully experience these events and could have easily done everything we did without spending over $200.00. Save your money, very disappointed.

CAUTION! Do not choose the tour that includes the Statue of Liberty pedestal. We paid for that tour but was told by our tour guide that the pedestal access is not part of the tour. I've tried contacting the tour company for a refund of the extra $30 per ticket because what I paid for is not what I received. If I could rate our tour guide separately, I would give her a high rating because I enjoyed the perspective I received from her.

Our tour guide Isabel was very knowledgeable, friendly and insightful! She even pointed out remarkable art facts that I would have missed otherwise..it was an amazing tour !
