This is one recommended tour for someone with just one day to spare in NYC. Its a walking tour of Wall Street all the way to where the Twin Towers use to stand and is now the 9/11 Memorial. It does not have access to the Museum though. The 9/11 Memorial Tour alone is enough to give you goosebumps and remind you of that faithful day. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the places and events he brought us to. One thing though for those not used to walking, its not recommended. Im glad that we do have a patient and understanding guide who made sure that the group waited for us. Going to the Statue of Liberty Monument is another big thing not to be missed. The cruise was a big relief from all the walking, but reaching Liberty is another thing. You still need to walk but its now much better as its on flat land. Same with the trip to Ellis Island where everything you need to know about America's first immigrants can be found. Worth the whole day and walking tour. Make sure to take this tour with comfy shoes and outfit. Take enough water to keep yourself hydrated and hopefully, take it when the weather is much cooler and not at the height of summer. Have fun.
Our tour guide, Alice Bahlke, was amazing!!!! Not only did I appreciate her insight and enthusiasm, my kids age 9, 11 were completely engaged which is not an easy feat......
I would highly recommend the tour and specifically Alice Bahlke....
Joel was our tour guide - energetic, articulate, knowledgeable, very friendly, and fun. His portion of the tour led us around lower manhattan, including Wall Street, Federal Hall, Trinity Church where Alexander Hamilton is buried, and the 911 Memorial (Reflecting Fountains, not the museum). great!
