Steamboat Natchez Evening Jazz Cruise with Dinner Option

Overview
Savor the beauty and romance of the New Orleans skyline aboard the Dinner Jazz Cruise. Enjoy the tunes of the Dukes of Dixieland jazz band and a narrated tour provided by our captain while cruising the Mighty Mississippi River.

Please note: there are two seating times for dinner, so please make sure to check availability of both if one is not available. The first dinner seating is from 6-7:15pm and the second dinner seating is from 7:45-9pm.

The Steamboat NATCHEZ is taking some time off, but her sister vessel, the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will be taking her place. You’ll get the same authentic riverboat experience of a leisurely, two-hour cruise on the mighty Mississippi, enjoying traditional live jazz, craft cocktails, and all the beautiful New Orleans sites, while also exploring the newly renovated riverboat. Make sure you check out all four decks - the top deck view is a sight to see! Upgrade your ticket to include the dinner buffet.

The dinner was very good. The only complaint that I have is that the music was so loud that my hubby and I had to almost yell at each other during dinner. We enjoyed the scenery and the guy doing the narrating was great. I was also a bit disappointed that we could not go into the second floor to actually see the band or go to the gift shop. There was a private party on the boat. Believe me, you lost money that night with the gift shop closed. We would go again if we were back in New Orleans.

Thank you for the input. Rarely do we rent our an entire deck and i am sure the Gift Shop would like to be open on every cruise.

The boat ride and sunset were lovely but a bit of false information given. Upon arrival I had to wait in a long line at the ticket booth even though I had online tickets that stated I didn’t have to wait at the booth. Then I chose the 7:45 seating for dinner and when I Checked in I was told they weren’t doing that so 6:30 was my only choice. There is a small deck where the band is playing- otherwise you’re listening to it through TV screens. I just felt like I was an inconvenience instead of a guest that paid hundreds of dollars for my family to enjoy a dinner jazz cruise. So take a boat ride on the Mississippi but skip the dinner because the food was not great and the service was limited.

I am not sure where you purchased on line but we still issue boarding passes at the ticket office that reflect who actually boarded. Very soon we will have a scanner to take care of that in the boarding line, but not yet ready for that.

We really appreciated the service we received from our waitress and bar tender. The food and entertainment didn't disappoint either. Overall a great experience
