Salem is nearly 400 years old and just like all of us, it has a dark side. An underbelly wrought with stories for the ages. Join us for our 90 min evening walking tour as we wander through the shadows and hear stories about pirates and pepper, secrets of the oldest cemetery in Salem, brutal murders, strange legal battles, curses, spiders, torture, and of course a ghost story or two. We invite you to be part of our story and learn why true history is Better Than Fiction. -All tour guides are licensed by the City of Salem and are professional storytellers .

Jeffrey was witty and informative. I felt like I learned quite a bit, even as a resident here in Salem. He didn't fluff anything up. He was knowledgeable and had a professional presence throughout the tour! Will go again!!

We really enjoyed the stories, unfortunately the weather got so bad we had to leave early. The tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable

Our tour guide (guy in the hat, sadly I forget his name) was very informative and detailed with the stories he shared while on our tour. He also cracked a few jokes relating to the haunts which was enjoyable. Our tour was a decent amount of time so we definitely got our money’s worth. The route they took us on hit every creepy corner in Salem. There were some repeats of a few locations from doing another tour on the previous day but it was refreshing to get a different perspective on the same location. When my friend and I come back to Salem we would hands down book another tour with Better Than Fiction!
