Salem is nearly 400 years old and just like all of us, it has a dark side. An underbelly wrought with stories for the ages. Join us for our 90 min evening walking tour as we wander through the shadows and hear stories about pirates and pepper, secrets of the oldest cemetery in Salem, brutal murders, strange legal battles, curses, spiders, torture, and of course a ghost story or two. We invite you to be part of our story and learn why true history is Better Than Fiction. -All tour guides are licensed by the City of Salem and are professional storytellers .

The Tour guide was super fun and informative. So much history i’d never even heard of! took us to laces i’d never have thought to visit. Definitely recommend.

The guide was entertaining . There was an over lap in some of the stories from history tour but more murder then ghost stories. Heard other tours going in along the way. Going to try one of those next time.

If you are debating on which tour to do, Better than Fiction is amazing!! We loved going on the Dark Stories of Salem walking tour! Jeff was an amazing tour guide. He was a great story teller of the dark history of Salem and the Witch Trials. He made the tour so fun and entertaining, while still conveying the sad truths around what the victims of the witch trials endured. After walking all day, I was worried my feet would hurt on the walking tour at night. If you were comfortable shoes, your feet will be fine. It was not a far walk. We stopped at multiple sites to learn the history behind each one.
