Overview

Join us for a unique experience in our 3-row Subaru Ascent! Drive through the Rocky Mountain National Park on a 4 - 5 hour guided tour that is focused entirely on you and your party. On our Rocky Mountain Tour, you will be taken up the famous Old Fall River Road (when open, Jul. - Sep.) where you will see beautiful mountain views and waterfalls, stop at the highest visitor center in the US National Park System, and drive back down the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road (when open, Jun. - Sep.). When Old Fall River road is not open, you will drive up and back down Trail Ridge Road. Minimum of 2 guests.

Please note that we are only able to offer hotel pickup for guests in Estes Park or the small surrounding towns. If you are staying outside of Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.

What To Expect

Rocky Mountain National Park

Our tour in Estes Park is all about taking a beautiful drive into the Rocky Mountain National Park. We'll take you as high up the mountain as the weather allows through beautiful scenic mountain passes. You'll see the city of Estes Park from above, beautiful lakes, meadows, waterfalls, and wildlife. Don't worry about the timed entry permit, your entrance and permit into the Rocky Mountain National Park are included!

Old Fall River Road

When open, your driver Riley will take you up Old Fall River Road, a one-way dirt road that goes up to the Alpine Visitor Center. You'll experience thrilling cliff-side mountain driving, see beautiful wildlife, flowing waterfalls, and more!

Alpine Visitor Center

Shop at the highest Visitor Center in all of the US National Park System! Our driver will spend as much time as you would like here. Grab lunch, snap some photos, or even walk to the top of the Alpine Ridge!

Trail Ridge Road

On the drive back into town, our driver will take you down the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road. Witness the changing beauty of the ecosystems within the Rocky Mountain National Park from the upper tundra to the lower montane.

Riley definitely delivered the unique and personal tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park that he promised. He actually over-delivered! We felt like he was part of our extended family. He catered to our needs - my husband had recent knee surgery and didn't think he could do much hiking. He took us to a couple of easy trails and made sure we saw the things we most wanted to see. He provided interesting narratives about the history, climate, animals and the people who made the Park what it is today. He was an excellent driver and his vehicle was spotless. It was a wonderful experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic tour of Fall River Rd and Trail Ridge Road with Riley. Riley was a perfect guide - personable and very knowledgeable about RMNP. He had some great stories about the history of the Park. The Outback was very comfortable and we could just relax and enjoy the sights. The Outback could easily fit 5 or 6 so it would be perfect for a family. Riley was very flexible in terms of what we wanted to see and even gave us time to do a couple of short hikes along the way. We saw a number of tour companies along the way which has a lot more people on their tours. I would highly recommend Explore Estes over these options for more privacy and flexibility. We even saw a couple of bears along Fall River Road which was a highlight.

The best part was going to places we didn't know about with our tour guide. Also our guide, Riley, giving us an amazing tour of Old Trail Ridge Road in a great car. He made a special detour to Moraine Park for us.
