The entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, inside Vanderbilt Passage.

All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket.

Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee

Dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors. We recommend wearing pants, shorts or tights when possible.
Wear comfortable shows. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.

This experience would have rated much higher had the staff running the experience actually communicated amongst themselves. This experience could very well be 5 stars. The views on offer are out of this world. This review is on no way a reflection of the observation deck component of this experience, this is completely aimed at the mismanagement of this experience, which is even more disappointing given it is not peak time. We purchased the ascent tickets and when it came time to do this we were sent to 2 different areas, before being told we then had to join a virtual queue and stand in the gift store with all the other guests in the virtual queue. Once we reached the front of the virtual queue we then joined a physical queue all up waiting an hour or so for the experience. Now I am not complaining about the wait time, if the staff communicated better the first staff member who was located in the bar/lounge area could have had us join the virtual queue at this point to allow us to remain in the lounge and have a drink before joint the physical queue. Instead we had to stand in the gift shop with 50 other guests crammed in like sardines.

INCREDIBLE unique experience in an absolutely beautiful and stunning building. Wow, this skyscraper has everything and more you could want, the various floors are unbelievable with the mirrored floors, floating silver balls, oh my goodness you can get so carried away in there. The rooftop cafe was lovely, the outside platform area was unfortunately inaccessible due to the high winds and rain on our visit, but the views were staggering when the clouds moved across.
