What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

We offer Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours.Uncover the best wildlife hotspots of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide at EcoTour Adventures. We will hit the back roads of Jackson Hole to escape the crowds and seek out our favorite hotspots for uninterrupted observation of seasonally available wildlife, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans.

We arrived at the meeting spot about 15 minutes early and enjoyed the warmth of the welcome center and clean restrooms before our guide Sage arrived. Sage was immediately warm and welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was like being taken on a tour by a good friend. We were a bit apprehensive about paying for a tour when there are obviously so many animals in the area that can be seen by someone on their own, but within one minute outside of town Sage spotted our first moose and told us his story. From that point on it was 4 hours of wildlife, enjoying the beauty of the region in only the way an experienced guide can provide. Every now and then we would see other tour companies at the same locations, but each time I was so grateful we chose Eco Tours because they had the only vehicles with openings at the top that allowed a closer view and additional warmth by partially staying in the vehicle during a stop if you so choose. The coffee was yummy, french press, much better than anything you would expect from a tour company. The equipment provided by Eco tours was top notch. We each received high quality Binoculars and Sage setup some scopes at each stop that can capture wildlife up to 3 miles away. So impressive how could easily hone in on coyotes, moose and bison that were camouflage to the naked eye among the 6,000 elk in the elk refuge. We went for the wildlife viewing but walked away having learned so much about the wildlife and gained a deeper respect for the region. Would love to tour with Sage again in another season to see the park in a whole different way. I recommend this trip to anyone coming through Jackson. No other tour companies compare. This is the one to book, you will be glad you did!

Wow, what a wonderful experience made even better by our incredible guide Sage! When we saw moose in the first 10 minutes, we knew we were in for a treat. Sage is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing Jackson and its wildlife. Thank you!

These types of tours, the quality is always based on the guides, IMO. Ryan was absolutely terrific, a wildlife expert, completely committed. The van was clean and had pop up hatches in the roof, which was pretty cool. They bring along these epic Svarovsky bincoulars as well.
