What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

We offer Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours.Uncover the best wildlife hotspots of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide at EcoTour Adventures. We will hit the back roads of Jackson Hole to escape the crowds and seek out our favorite hotspots for uninterrupted observation of seasonally available wildlife, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans.

Our party of 3 adults, 2 mid-30s & 1 64y/o, did a 4 hr guided snowshoe tour to Taggart Lake in Grand Teton N.P. Our guide Elyse was a very personable & knowledgeable naturalist and she guided us up to the lake over a trail that was moderately challenging for us neophytes. During the intermittent brief pauses to rest and take water, a snack or remove a layer our guide variously shared her knowledge with biological, geological and environmental observations. Upon reaching the lake and taking in some truly breathtakingly beautiful Teton views our guide asked us if we would like to continue on a return path at the same modest level of difficulty or follow a more challenging route since she perceived that we were fit enough to do so. We opted for the latter which rewarded our newfound confidence and extra effort with some fabulous winter terrain with sweeping views of the Tetons and Gros Ventre ranges and the valley below. A truly extraordinary and memorable experience!

Our hotel clerk, Grace, recommended this Eco Tour when we asked where to go to search for wildlife. Our visit to Jackson Hole was a gift for my sister and I as a Christmas gift. We live in Meeteetse, WY and spend a great deal of our time out searching for wildlife to photograph, but decided we would do the tour rather than drive around an area we are unfamiliar with. Best decision ever!! Our host/guide picked us up at the hotel and we shared the trip with a very nice couple from Singapore unfamiliar with Wyoming scenery and wildlife. Even though we consider ourselves pretty well educated on Wyoming, we learned so many new things. Our host, Matty, asked where we would like to go and see. We gave him our list and off we went. He provided binoculars for everyone, We were in a great van and everyone had a great view from a window seat or sun roof. The day was gorgeous (it was fogged in when we arrived) and we saw the beautiful scenery. There was so much snow, it was like a fairy land. The roads were plowed and we were able to go to many different places within Teton National Park. We got great photos. We were provided with snacks, water and juice and plenty of stops to enjoy the scenery. Our host was very knowledgeable about the animals and the area and was fun to spend the morning with. Best investment of entire trip and we will definitely try the all day excursion and/or sunset tour on our next visit in May. Looking forward to it already. We received a follow up call from the owner to check on our satisfaction the next day making it feel even more personalized. Thanks to Eco Tours for a great experience. We recommend it to anyone who is interested in history of the landscape, wildlife and interesting facts about our history.

We had a wonderful tour with Mike! He was knowledgable, helpful, and personable! This is a must-do tour when visiting Jackson Hole. We saw amazing wildlife and learned a tremendous amount about the area. Definitely recommend Mike and Eco Tours!
