We were vacationing in San Diego and had always wanted to go on a balloon trip, so after reading the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, booked with California Dreamin. Unfortunately, I forgot to call in on the mandatory call in the day before (too busy at the zoo), but they called me and we confirmed. We met at 6:15 and drove to the launch spot. There were 3 other couples plus the pilot. It was a bit windy, but the pilot waited until the wind had died down enough for us to launch. We took off and the view was spectacular! We could see the vinyards, the mountains and even the ocean off in the distance. There was also another ballon, so that was fun. We floated around for about an hour then landed and over champange, received a tour of a local winery. We then went back for our continental breakfast which was wonderful. I would recommend California Dreamin' for a wonderful experience.

my girlfriend made a reservation two weeks prior to the date, paid over the phone and they didn't honor it. we paid for the package balloon ride and wine tasting and when we showed up the owner informed us that since we did not call the day before to confirm that we should just go home and never come back. we had actually called on two days before to confirm, emailed the owner the night before. however she made us feel we were in the wrong and that just because we couldnt answer her call the day before our reservation went to someone else. she also refused to give us a refund or change our reservation. we are still confused about her behavior

My son really wanted to go on a balloon ride for his 9th birthday so that's what we did. It was really great experience for all of us. The crew was amazing and the views were even better. A first class operation!! Thanks California Dreamin for making my son's birthday so rememberable!!
