Went on the Sunrise balloon tour with my mom (mother daughter treat) last week and had an amazing time! We got the balloon + South Coast Winery package and it was great (stayed 2 nights so we had a full day to relax afterwards too). We were a bit scared before going up (my mom because she's older, me because slightly fearful of heights) but the pilot was amazing and gave us a really great smooth flight. I was worried about heights/moving too much, but it was surprisingly super smooth, and I didn't have any vertigo since the basket walls prevent you from looking directly down. The pilot even took us right over a grove of orange trees (skimming the top) which was awesome!! 5 stars and would recommend to anyone wanting to check this off their bucket list! Added note: we tried doing this a few years ago in the winter, but we were rained out and couldn't go up. Probably a good thing, since there were no leaves on the vineyards during winter. I would recommend coming in the spring as everything was pretty green after the rain we got this winter.

This is something everyone should do at least once in their lifetime. This company is made up of wonderful, hardworking people, who's main purpose, is to make sure their guests have the best experience possible....and they went far beyond that with my family, who were visiting from New Jersey. The reservation process was simple, price was comparable with the other competing companies, and the check-in and ride out to the takeoff area was very enjoyable even though it was 530 am. The employees set the mood for our experience with welcoming smiles and a warm and heartfelt "good morning". After settling on our takeoff spot, we were all treated to watching the whole process of getting the balloon unpacked, filled with air, and ready for takeoff. The 8 of us boarded, along with our pilot David, and off we went--up, up, and up we went. Not a sound except for the release of the hot air filling our balloon, and as we looked towards the eastern horizon the sun was just finishing coming up just passing the horizon. It was a beautiful sight and just the beginning of a wonderful time floating around as the air currents directed. Up to several thousand feet, and awhile later, down to a few hundred feet, just cruising over the tops of the local vineyards and tree tops. The landing was perfect and even a bit exciting, as it seems, the landing spot is never the same, and is just part of the adventure in ballooning. After landing was complete, we all jumped into the van, and off we went to where it all started, where a wonderful, light breakfast, was waiting for us. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend California Dreamn' Balloon Adventures to everyone without hesitation.

One should spend the money and take this balloon ride. I was scared to do the hot air balloon ride, but am so happy I did. The owner/pilot/vineyard was fantastic as was his crew and his wife. The breakfast was wonderful and we got to taste one of their wines. Can recommend this and give it 5 stars.
