We arrived and checked in at 5;30 a.m. for our flight. The crew was pleasant and helpful. We loaded into a van and drove to the launch site (we stopped twice before but the winds were not quite right, so the 3rd spot was where we launched). There is a pilot in the balloon and there is a ground crew that helps set up, launch and they also help with the landing. It was a very smooth ride and awesome views of the wine country real estate. David, our pilot, was very helpful in telling us when he was going to turn us around 360 so we could see from all angles. He was also in communication with the ground crew and other balloon pilots throughout our flight. It was amazing and we can't wait to do it again! Breakfast was served after our flight, and there was birthday cake as one of our fellow travelers was celebrating. There were also anniversary couples aboard. Such a great morning!

Really enjoyed California Dreamin' Balloon Adventures in Temecula. This was our first time in a hot air balloon, and this family-owned business made us feel very safe, comfortable and secure the entire time. We went with our 3 school-aged boys, and they really enjoyed the experience as well. Since the rides are at sunrise, a warm jacket for early morning outdoor temperatures is a good idea. Once you are in the balloon, it's actually quite comfortable and cozy. It was a unique, fun experience all the way through to the champagne brunch. We were able to sample some of the wines as well that the owners created on the vineyard site, and loved the Viognier and Syrah. A definate must-do to add to your bucket list!

I have nothing negative to say about this experience. 1) It is reasonably priced. I attempted a similar hot air balloon tour over Napa that ran for $50+ more and it was extremely crowded. 2) Booking was a breeze. They called the day before to confirm when they didn't hear from us. We were running late the morning of our flight, and they were accommodating. 3) Everyone we dealt with was friendly, knowledgable, and made us feel at home. We were offered recommendations for local restaurants and wineries and even for activities outside of Temecula. 4) The group size was small. I can't guarantee this is always the case, but my sister and I flew with a family of four and a couple. It was quiet and everyone had an opportunity to get the lay of the land from our pilot while in the air. 5) The experience itself. So peaceful, with a great view of the other balloons. Plenty of opportunities for pictures, and the crew even offered to take your photo while on the ground (no selfies required). We got to see a coyote and several rabbits/hares, and the smell of the orange groves is divine. 6) A smooth landing. Our trail car with the crew was a bit behind in making it to the landing site, but it could not have gone more smoothly. You have to wait a few minutes for them to pack some things up, but it goes by quickly. 7) Breakfast and mimosas after the flight were great. You can stick around as long as you want, and if the winery where you meet happens to be open (Vindemia), you can squeeze in a wine tasting. If not, there are plenty of great wineries nearby. Old Town Temecula also has great antique stores if you want to make a day of it. As long as you are physically able to get in and out of the basket, this is a perfect and peaceful way to spend the morning. I highly recommend it!
