From the minute Joe picked us up at the hotel, to the last glass of wine with Amy and AneMarie, California Dreamin' is a class act family owned Balloon And Winery Business. Gail(owner) got us checked in, explained everything, offered everyone blankets and the use of heaters. Joe then loaded everyone(all 12 of us) and away we went. After arriving at our launch site, the crew(Joe, Josh, Michael, Dillon) makes it informative, takes a ton of pictures for you, and keeps you at ease. It's great to be that close to the balloon rising. The flight was breath taking !! Dave's son Dillon, was also our pilot that day. The two of them showed us everything possible from the air. Once back at Vindemia, Dave and Gail(owner's) put on a great breakfast with mirmosa's. It was such a first class experience with these guys, I would only fly again with California Dreamin' !! And I WILL ...... THANKS Dave & Gail.

My husband & I have always talked about taking a hot air balloon ride so it was a perfect anniversary present! The staff was amazingly friendly at check in, our ground crew was awesome and our balloon pilot, Matt, was so knowledgable and passionate about ballooning. The breakfast and mimosas were a wonderful end to our amazing morning. They also gave us a complimentary personalized bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Just a wonderful experience all around!

This was our first hot-air balloon ride and we had a great time. It's so quiet up there (except when the flames fire up). Dave, the owner of California Dreaming and our pilot, is a nice, laid-back guy who knows a lot about ballooning. He also knows a lot about local history. The whole trip was interesting and very relaxing. We didn't actually float over the vineyards because of wind conditions. Still, we got up to about 3,000 feet and could see all over Southern California. We were up in the air for about an hour. The landing was smooth as could be. After the flight, we returned to the Vindemia Winery for a nice breakfast and a little wine tasting. Dave also owns the winery (which gets great Trip Advisor reviews). This is fun trip and a different type of adventure.
