During our trip to the US, we did a lot of travel over roughly 2.5 weeks. However, this tour was one of the most memorable things about the entire vacation. I have wanted to visited this place for a long time, so this was very special for me. Reaver was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and showed us locations which are not accessible when doing an unguided tour. He was also able to tell us stories about the people and about his own experiences here. We took some beautiful photographs. I would definitely recommend this tour - it is an unforgettable experience, and truly truly awesome and inspiring to watch the sunrise. It's an added bonus to access the views before most of the regular tourists wake up!

At first the weather didn't look good for a sunrise (light rain). Our guide got us to a great place for a sunrise, the clouds parted enough and I got my shot, sunbeams behind silhouetted spires! The rain clouds dissipated, and the rest of our tour had great shadows on the rocks, and puffy white clouds in the sky. Besides great photos stops, I appreciated the cultural information our guide provided along the way. Well worth the money instead of just driving the portion of the park open to the public.

Our sunrise tour with Reaver (sp?) was wonderful. It was VERY cold on this May morning but we were treated to a luxury SUV ride, just us and our guide. We arrived at the Totem rock view location about 30 minutes before the sun actually appeared and our photos, as amateurs, were wonderful. We had some expert help from other photographers and shared some good conversation. Once the sun was fully risen, we took the rest of the tour, some of which were on roads not available to the general public. My favorite part was the "Eye of the Eagle" rock and a performance by our guide of a Native flute. I highly recommend this tour. Two things: dress warmly, particularly in early spring with layer that you can remove as the sun heats up the landscape. Also, ask you guide questions about the Navajo culture. Our guide was eager to share. Thanks for a a great time, Reaver. We treasure it as a highlight of our 2 weeks on the road.
