Overview

The Sunrise Tour in Monument Valley is one of the greatest natural light shows on earth. After a brief introduction with your Navajo guide, the group will navigate into the heart of Monument Valley. The guide will determine a perfect place to watch the sunrise near the well known "Totem Pole" Monument. Please bring your camera! because this will be a sunrise you will never want to forget. After the sunrise prepare for an outstanding live performance at the Big Hogan Arch. Fully awaken your spirit with a skilled musician by your side and enjoy the natural amphitheater effect. The tour will then visit a Navajo Hogan where locals will demonstrate the art of Navajo Rug weaving. The tour will continue stopping at some of the most iconic places like John Ford's point, Three Sisters, Mitten View and much more! Watch each mesa, butte, and spire glow before your eyes on this unforgettable sunrise tour.

Tribal Tours called the afternoon before our tour to confirm timings and pick up arrangements. We had a great experience with Jameson. He collected us right on time from the KOA Campsite. There was some cloud cover initially, and he checked to ensure that we were likely to get a clear sunrise - he would have offered a later tour or a refund if not; a nice touch we thought. The landscape was spectacular and we lucked out with a great sunrise. What was also nice is that Jameson took the time to explain Navajo culture and customs, as well as what life is like locally. The whole tour exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Predawn Sunrise Tour was magical, full of wonders and many tales of Navajo Culture narrated to us, including a song to invoke Spirits of Four Directions, by our guide Cheryl. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend doing a guided tour through monument valley. Our guide was Cheryl, very pleasant and knowledgeable of the landscape, Navajo traditions the importance of family and utilizing the land and animals, nothing goes to waste. The road is unpaved and bumpy (this reason alone is worth going on a guided tour), Cheryl took us to very interesting points in the valley. The sunrise tour was wonderful!
