Sunset Dinner Cruise in Honolulu

Overview
There are few things more impressive than an ocean view sunset in Hawaii. Our Sunset Dinner Cruise takes you along the Waikiki shore all the way to Diamond Head, known to Hawaiians as Lēʻahi, and provides breathtaking scenery all around.

Enjoy a spectacular, freshly prepared dinner from the Prince Kuhio’s own onboard chef and served by our exceptional staff. As darkness descends, watch the lights of the Honolulu sky come alive with stars.

Every one got sick. The food was good. Several people in other groups were sick also. I am feeling better now.

Our apologies that the weather didn't cooperate with your event. Unfortunately, that is out of our control. One of the biggest challenges we have at PKT is making sure that passengers are sufficiently informed about what to expect on the cruise, including the fact that the trip takes place on open ocean. In everything from our web site to our confirmation documents and reminders, we mention motion sickness as a factor to consider and suggest medication if it is a concern. The dilemma for us is that, despite some passengers getting sick (even on the calmest days), most passengers do not get motion sick and the vast majority of passengers are tourists who may never get an opportunity to do a trip like this again. With this dynamic in mind, we try to operate the cruises accordingly.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. The feedback always helps us do better. We try very hard to give the customers the best possible experience on board, but it doesn’t always work out the way we plan. The BYOB format that we currently use is temporary and we hope to be back to a normal, full bar very soon and we also provide notification of the current BYOB on the website, through all confirmation documents and we even send a reminder via text and email a couple hours before the cruise. We apologies if you did not get the information. Regarding the show, we have always felt that a show is problematic since “entertainment” is subjective and always receives mixed reviews and, most importantly, takes away from the spectacular views of the shoreline and sunset, which you have mentioned in your review as being “great”. Also, we do not advertise or insinuate that we provide a “show” during our cruises. Lastly, the food. We are very surprised that you found the food “not that good” since we are the only boat with an actual Chef on-board preparing the meal fresh, while at sea. Our customer reviews consistently give high praise to our food but, like entertainment, food is subjective, and we are truly sorry that we couldn’t provide something that you found to your liking. Again, thank you for the honest feedback.

The Sunset dinner cruise was very nice. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to enjoy a good sunset! The salad, food (I had mahi-mahi) and bread pudding were delicious. Good music and some Hula dancing performed (voluntarily) by Miss Kona Coffee who was on board with Miss Aloha Hawaii! The 2 hours were enjoyable by me, my wife and daughter. I am a UH alumni (1982 - 88) and had brought my family for a vacation (Maui, Hawaii, and Oahu)!
