Take a small-group guided dolphin kayak tour along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at sunset to combine gorgeous visuals with epic dolphin experiences. Little or no experience is necessary to use our sturdy sit-on-top kayaks to explore the coastal waters of Virginia Beach and get closer to wild dolphins than you have ever been before. Guides will help you launch and navigate along the coast for 2-hrs while you relax and enjoy a magnificent view of the sun setting over the Bay.

What To Expect

First Landing State Park

Meet your guides on the beach at the Main Entrance to First Landing State Park ready for one of Virginia Beach's most unique experiences. After a short briefing on safety and kayak operation, your guides will help launch you and your kayak into the Chesapeake Bay where you will enjoy the thrill of kayaking with Atlantic Bottle nose Dolphins off the Shoreline of Virginia Beach while also witnessing a magnificent sunset.

Cape Henry Lighthouse

Since 1996, We have been offering guided kayak dolphin watching trips to see these amazing creatures during their summer migration off the coast of Virginia. The Sunset Tour combines dolphin watching with a sightseeing tour of landmarks such as The Cape Henry Lighthouses and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. On our Sunset Dolphin Kayak Tour you will likely see dolphins and numerous birds as we paddle along historic Cape Henry in Virginia Beach. Along the way you will also see local landmarks such as the Cape Henry Lighthouses and Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel get lit up by the evening sun as it sinks beyond the horizon of the Bay.

Our tour guides were beyond amazing! I can’t remember all their names but Michael, Brodie, & Conrad are great. We seen dolphins, had fun, and made memories to last a lifetime! The dolphins were very active, and we even seen a baby with her Mom. I would recommend everyone do this. It’s an experience of a lifetime & it ended with the sunset over the water.

We took a tour with Brody, Michael, Cole and Ryder. Each of them were fun and easy to ask questions to! We appreciated that they took video and pictures for all of us so that our cameras / phones were not in jeopardy of getting wet! We saw plenty of dolphins and even had a surprise turtle emerge! We enjoyed the tour very much! Only "complaint" (if it even is a complaint!) is that I would have preferred my own kayak. The company only supplies doubles. I love my husband, but we get along much better when we can kayak separately! So if the owner is reading this...please have a few singles available!

Thank you for your feedback! In peak season its hard to give customers singles but do we do allow people to paddle a double as a single when we have availability. This is the busiest time of year for us- glad you enjoyed your tour! Thanks for the great review. Come back in June and ask to paddle a double as a single!
