Take a small-group guided dolphin kayak tour along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at sunset to combine gorgeous visuals with epic dolphin experiences. Little or no experience is necessary to use our sturdy sit-on-top kayaks to explore the coastal waters of Virginia Beach and get closer to wild dolphins than you have ever been before. Guides will help you launch and navigate along the coast for 2-hrs while you relax and enjoy a magnificent view of the sun setting over the Bay.

What To Expect

First Landing State Park

Meet your guides on the beach at the Main Entrance to First Landing State Park ready for one of Virginia Beach's most unique experiences. After a short briefing on safety and kayak operation, your guides will help launch you and your kayak into the Chesapeake Bay where you will enjoy the thrill of kayaking with Atlantic Bottle nose Dolphins off the Shoreline of Virginia Beach while also witnessing a magnificent sunset.

Cape Henry Lighthouse

Since 1996, We have been offering guided kayak dolphin watching trips to see these amazing creatures during their summer migration off the coast of Virginia. The Sunset Tour combines dolphin watching with a sightseeing tour of landmarks such as The Cape Henry Lighthouses and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. On our Sunset Dolphin Kayak Tour you will likely see dolphins and numerous birds as we paddle along historic Cape Henry in Virginia Beach. Along the way you will also see local landmarks such as the Cape Henry Lighthouses and Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel get lit up by the evening sun as it sinks beyond the horizon of the Bay.

We weren’t sure what to expect but we got amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable guides who had so much great information and who made an effort to get to know everyone in the group. But the star of the show was the dolphins. We saw so many. What a fun experience!

Troy, our guide was terrific. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share with us. The weather wasn’t great, but certainly can’t fault anyone for that. We saw several dolphins. I would recommend for anyone who is able to kayak for a few hours.

Thank you to Tommy for the wonderful guidance and knowledge of the ocean wildlife! I saw your passion for the wildlife and your gift of giving to others. It was such a pleasure to chase dolphins with you! Tommy, Clark, and the other guys were so polite, professional, knowledgeable, and simply kind. Great job guys!! And thank you for the pictures and videos you took out on the water! I have never been that close to wild dolphins. We really enjoyed watching the dolphins swim and hunt for fish! And slap those fins!!😎
