What To Expect

Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon Ride Co.

Upon meeting at the check-in office, your pilots and crew will transport you to the launch site location, where you will have the option to become hands-on and help the crew or take in the view as the gentle giant comes to life. Before loading into the basket, the pilot will conduct a safety briefing, so make sure to listen carefully! Then you are up, up and away into the beautiful Arizona sky.

We purchased a hot air balloon for 6 for my parents wedding anniversary! Every year we go to Phoenix over spring break to visit my parents with my two children. This year we went in January and celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary! It was the most amazing, well thought out and fun experience. They absolutely loved it! Our balloon guide was engaging, fun and absolutely delightful. My parents have done everything everywhere and this was a first class, amazing experience! We highly recommend it.

This is a once in a lifetime thing to check off your bucket list. Rainbow Ryders have this experience practiced to a fine art, a well oiled machine. The pre-flight, setup, flight, tear down and unwinding back at the "hanger" was all top notch. Our pilot Kyle was not only an excellent pilot, his knowledge of the terrain and ballooning in general, were delivered with appropriate level of humor and facts. The passengers are comfortable and awed through out. May not be appropriate for small children (too short). And if you are afraid of heights don't go.

Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon is a top notch company. It was our first hot air balloon ride and we will definitely be doing another one. We had the BEST crew...Captain Andy and Crewman Pete. The views were AMAZING and it was so peaceful and calm. Can't wait to go again!!!
