Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

The crew was awesome! Met some wonderful people. The crew makes sure everyone is comfortable and very helpful. They let you help with putting the sails up. Was disappointed with the dinner. It was a tin, with a sandwich in it. It was good, but for the money I thought it was going to be a full course meal. Everything else was great!!

Hi there, sorry to have disappointed you. We don't advertise a sit down dinner. It's a bento box with cauliflower and kale salad sides along with a toasted grilled chicken sandwich made at Artisan at the Delamar Resort. We also serve locally sourced meat snacks and chips with local beers, spirits, ciders, wines, and soda. I am glad you had fun with the crew. We loved having you aboard. We don't have customers, we have friends.

Awesome, awesome, awesome sunset cruise. We happened upon the best night of the season according to the crew. The waters were blue and calm, the wind was light, and the weather was perfect. Captain Dan, 1st Mate Trevor, and 2nd Mate Charlie were professional, friendly, and efficient. Dinner was great, the libations flowed steadily, and our small crowd of 8 had a wonderful time laughing and getting to know one another. And kudos to Jessica who took our reservation, kept in touch over the weeks before the trip took place, and checked us in. She was friendly, efficient, and great to work with. Thank you, Wind Dancer, for an evening to remember!
