Captain Jim treats his guests like old friends, in the best way possible. He has tons of stories about the area and the waterways, and gave us a great tour. Jim also showed a lot of consideration and concern for others on the water; when it appeared one small boat might be heading for trouble, he made sure to keep an eye on it and asked another captain to keep watch. Luckily, the little boat got turned around in time. We returned to the slip just as the sun was setting- what timing! I highly recommend Shamrock Sailing!

Thanks for the wonderful comments about our sunset cruise adventure. Every trip has its own character. Our little adventure with the Sunfish sailor going out the inlet highlights the code between sailors to take care of each other regardless of hull size. What wonderful experience sharing the waterways and inlets around Wrightsville Beach. Best wishes, Captain Jim

This sailboat ride was a real delight. We had perfect weather on an ideal day. Our ride did start a lil late due to the fact a lady on the prior ride left something on board and our skipper went back and delivered it to her. Nice. Unfortunately he didn’t feel the need to make up that 15 minutes to us. And we were the last sail of his day. In all honesty, it isn’t a true “sunset” sail. We finished well before sunset.

Hi Kathryn, Thanks for your positive review. We did have a perfect day of sailing the ICW and local inlet area. I recall a guest left her cell phone onboard and delayed our departure. The tidal forces around the inlet is either against us at 4 knots or pushing us forward at the same rate, making final arrival times difficult to precisely judge over two hours. On the day of our cruise, we arrived at our destination little early- I'd love to make it up to you next season. Book again and your individual reservation is on me. Best regards, Captain Jim
