Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Scenic Stop 1- West & East Mitten View Scenic Stop 2- John Ford's Point & Three Sister's Monument Scenic Stop 3- Navajo Hogan Visit & Navajo rug weaving demonstration. Scenic Stop 4- Moccasin Arch, Big Hogan Arch & Live Performance Scenic Stop 5- Sun's Eye & Anasazi Petroglyphs/Ruins Scenic Stop 6- Totem Pole Monument Scenic Stop 7- North Window or Artist's Point Their will be a minimum of 5-10 minutes at each scenic stop to explore and take photos.

We booked a sunset tour through the KOA we stayed at. Our guide, Toney has been at this for 43 years and it shows! The geologic demonstrations, the shared stories of his people's past, and the terrific photo tips and tricks were all so welcome and poignant. However, it was his sharing of his grandmother's favorite song as he played his drum in a natural stone open air shell that put this tour over the top. If you're able to, try to get Toney as your guide you'll love it.

Our guide, Larry Team, was wonderful. He answered all of our questions, told interesting stories, pointed out the best spots for photos and was always helpful. The last item was especially important to me because I have mobility problems but Larry always helped me in and out of the tour vehicle and never made be feel that I was being a hindrance. Monument Valley is an extraordinary location. Larry made it even more special.

It was amazing to stay in Monument Valley. Peaceful and surreal. We did a sunrise hike and then the Sunset Tour. Larry was an awesome guide. The experience was so enhanced by his stories and knowledge. Well worth the price to see the back country with a Navajo guide!!!!!
