Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Scenic Stop 1- West & East Mitten View Scenic Stop 2- John Ford's Point & Three Sister's Monument Scenic Stop 3- Navajo Hogan Visit & Navajo rug weaving demonstration. Scenic Stop 4- Moccasin Arch, Big Hogan Arch & Live Performance Scenic Stop 5- Sun's Eye & Anasazi Petroglyphs/Ruins Scenic Stop 6- Totem Pole Monument Scenic Stop 7- North Window or Artist's Point Their will be a minimum of 5-10 minutes at each scenic stop to explore and take photos.

I booked this tour because I thought it was the only way to see Monument Valley...not so. You can drive through the most iconic areas with just $10 per car access fee. The tour drives through the public access area to the off road back country. Our Navajo guide was nice, sharing some of her culture and heritage. That said, some of her "Navajo" names for mesas are obviously not based in cultural history such as "Snoopy Lying Down". We booked the sunset tour and almost didn't make it back for sunset. I like supporting native Americans but would probably not pay this much for the tour if I knew I could drive through.

It was a wonderful tour, thanks to our guide Larry Team! Breathtaking and truly unforgettable. The tour took us beyond the usual tourist stops (which are great already) and into the backcountry roads where we got to see the valley's rich landscape from various angles. Three hours just flew by. Larry was patient and incredibly helpful, and he is very knowledgeable about the land and the Navajo people. Highly recommend and definitely ask for Mr. Larry Team when booking the tour.
