Our semi-private lessons are limited to 3 students to every instructor. We teach at Thalia St, Laguna's best location for beginner waves. Our 90 minute lessons allow you ample time to learn paddle out, wave judgment, etiquette, and pop-up techniques. Call us if you prefer a private lesson.

The first thing you notice about Jason is the pride and professionalism, adapting the difficulty to your skill and evolution. Extremely patient and really makes the lesson individual even in a group. Turns the beach and ocean into his office. Get inspired by the groundbreaking and inspirational Jason “the Duke Kahanamoku” at La Vida Laguna. Now I understand what Lt. Col. William Kilgore meant with his famous line in Apocalypse Now, spoken by Robert Duval, as justification for taking a beach at Mekong so the GI’s could go surfing..”Charlie don’t surf”

I took mother/daughter surf lessons with my twelve year old daughter. I can’t say enough nice things about my experience with La Vida Laguna. Our instructor was very experienced and kind. He kept my daughter safe and made sure she had a great time. And she learned how to surf! By the end of the two hours, she was standing up all the way to the shore. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great experience!

We booked a private surf lesson for our nephew who was trying surfing for the first time. We made our reservation over the phone with Doug who helped us decide a private lesson was the best option. Instruction, wet suit and board all in one fee. Hunter conducted the lesson in a very easy going style that helped bring success with the first waves. Our nephew is a good athlete who really enjoyed Hunter's coaching. Hunter introduced new topics at the right pace so he could practice and build confidence in his skills. The lesson was a positive experience and a great day of vacation for the family. Hunter has recruited a new enthusiast for the sport of surfing! We recommend La Vida Laguna!
