Hands down this is the BEST place you could EVER spend your money! My child is 8 years old and wanted to learn to surf! (She never surfed before but loves water) (ALSO we shop around !!!! I don’t just jump on the best deal I needed to know my child felt comfortable ) After visiting Jacks at the pier my daughter felt a strong sense of safety and comfortability) with that being said we still waited a week to make sure this was the right fit for my daughter. After signing my daughter up for surf camp I came to see Jack’s is not just a board rental/surf camp in Myrtle beach trying to make a buck off tourist or take advantage of locals. This is honestly a place where you come to make life long memories with family, learn life skills on and off the beach of ocean awareness , and create life long bonds with people you never thought you would. Jack and his employees have went above and beyond to make my daughter not only be comfortable and confident in a sport she loves but showered her with positive vibes and love to make her strive to be the best she can. This group of people are amazing with children and adults. I was skeptical at first seeing how cheap the prices were and everything that was included in the surf camp package. (I stayed all day the 1st day ) I seen first hand how much each individual instructor has the passion and dedication to teach each and every newcomer. By day 3 my daughter said “mom you can just drop me off.”(lol) this is also coming from a SUPER shy 8 year old. Taylor was her main instructor who has NOT only taught my child to stand on a surf board but also took the time to teach her tricks that I never knew could happen in a week. I would show up and watch without my shy daughter knowing I was there and all I seen was love and fun. I seen my child open up for the first time making friend’s, laughing, learning to surf. I highly recommend taking time out of your vacation if traveling to Myrtle Beach or a day as a local to visit Jacks surf board rentals /camp and more by the Springmaid Pier. They definitely live up to their word and care about each and everyone they interact with. When I think of what a community should look like and model I think of Jacks!

My family and I had such a great experience with jacks surf lessons. Kevin was such a great instructor and was very knowledgeable of the ocean and the sport of surfing. He was very patient and my son loooved him. Everything was perfect and will be back again!

Jack's did a great job. We had two 18 year old teenagers who had never surfed. The instructors were great and the boys had a great time. I would have given them a 5 but the check in staff in the morning didnt give them the shirts I paid for so the boys got burnt and rash. Still had a good time.
