Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

This was my daughter's first experience for surfing. The instructors were fun and knowledgable and she had a great time. The first 15 minuets was to watch safety video and another 15 minutes to go to the beach on foot. The actual lesson and practice was about 75 minutes and it was plenty for most. This is a great group lesson, $75, for beginners.

My cousin and I took the 9 o'clock group lesson and there were about 8 other people in our group. We started off in the lobby and they explained some basic do's and don'ts with a slide show. It was really easy to understand and the guy doing the presentation was really funny. After this we got reef shoes and swim shirt, the instructors drove us down to the beach where we started right away. They had 3 instructors out in the water with us and the owner was one of them! All but one of the people in our group were able to stand but in the first wave. And the one lady who didn't make it up was up within the next couple waves. Everyone was really nice and I would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn to surf!!! :)

We stayed at Turtle Bay on North Shore in May of this year. My husband and I took a semi private lesson with Bruno and we both had a blast. My husband had surfed in his teens but I had never surfed before. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and I felt like a kid out there in the water. Bruno was so good at lining me up to catch waves and he gave me a little push to make sure I caught them. I caught so many waves and I stood up almost every single time! Of course my husband looked like a pro. Even after all these years, he was the surf stud I remember him being in high school! They took a lot of great photos of us & they gave us a t-shirt when we finished. If you want to have a lot of fun, I would highly recommend Bruno at the HH Surf School! Thanks again Bruno! I can't wait to come back for more lessons!
