The plantation with it's beauty and look into the slave history is both breath taking and emotional. The swamp tour was awesome. The boat captain was very funny and we saw a lot of alligators and other animals. The captain did say that around this time of the year (December), the sightings get slow because the alligators prepare to go dormant for the winter.
