Swimming with the manatees is a once in a lifetime experience so do it right! Dont cram into a small dive shop. Spread out and enjoy plenty of space at Explorida! The Explorida Adventure Center offers a large, top notch facility that is climate controlled with indoor changing rooms for your privacy. Our boats are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and certified, which means they are allowed to carry more than 6 passengers, have all necessary safety equipment, and are in tip top shape. Wonderful experience!!! Cory was a great captain and Charisse and Maddie were fun and knowledgeable. The manatees were so beautiful and fun to watch. Highly recommended!!!!

Swimming with manatees with Explorida was amazing! We (37/f and 37/m) did this excursion in early November before the river became areas of the Crystal River became roped off for the season so had freedom to explore areas that we wouldn't be able to visit if we were to visit about 2 weeks later. We encountered a total of 5 manatees on our excursion, 2 babies and 3 adults. The babies and one of the adult manatees were incredibly interactive with our small group and everyone had a wonderful time. The water was fairly cold when we first got it, but we get used to it quickly. If you've never snorkeled, it might take a bit to get used to the gear. I'm glad it was just the two of us that did the excursion and that we didn't bring our kids with us for it. I'm confident my 11 year old would have been able to eventually get the hang of the scuba gear and enjoy the excursion, but I'm not sure if my 6 year old would have done well with the snorkeling part. Our guide, Kristen, and our Captain, Steve, were knowledgable, friendly, and made the entire experience worthwhile. Kenz in the gift shop was super helpful too! Would definitely recommend, and hope to do again!
