We conclude this tour with a Chocolate Elixir at Chokola to weave in the art of chocolate making by owners Deb and Javier who are passionate about every step in the process of their decadent sipping chocolate, truffles, mousses and tarts! Meeting the local artists and having direct conversations with them. Lesley was fluent in local history and the local artists we met. She made us want to return to Taos to experience more of this colorful venue

My wife and I were the two tourees with Lesley. We thoroughly enjoyed her company as well as the rich and fascinating tour content she and her artisan and curator buddies presented. This being the Time of COVID, we were all masked throughout (we'd brought our own). As a docent myself (for the Chicago Architecture Center), I was impressed by Lesley's attention to detail, accuracy, timing, our questions, and above all the satisfaction and comfort of her tourees. My wife and I were both pleased to discover that even though we'd already been exploring Taos for an afternoon and morning before this tour, absolutely every place Lesley took us and every story she told was new to us. That's why we take and enjoy tours!

Coming from a docent this is a wonderful compliment and we are so happy you enjoyed this experience with Lesley!

Fantastic tour of Taos! My 19 year old daughter and I were lucky enough to spend the morning touring Taos on foot with Lesley. Lesley is extremely knowledgeable about Taos history, art and local artisans (and seems to know everyone in town). This is such a great way to get an overview of town before heading off on your own. Even during the pandemic, with so many studios closed, we felt like we really got to see and experience the art Taos has to offer. ALSO- make sure to visit www.tresestrellasdesign.com- Carla and Chris are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter and I could have spent the whole day with them and they really should teach a textile class (if they don't already). Also, Taos wins for efforts to control Covid- we were really impressed with the efforts around town with social distancing, masks and sanitizing.

This review is so inspiring to read and we are so grateful for the details of your experience with Lesley on our Taos Artisan Walking Tour! Chris and Carla are fantastic and great partners, their textiles take us back to a nostalgic place of historic northern New Mexico! We are so happy you had a wonderful tour and most importantly felt safe throughout Taos. Thank you again for sharing your personal experience and we hope to host you again on another tour!
