The small portion with history stories. Sam knows a lot of the shopkeepers/artists, and showed us those stores.

We had a very interesting walking tour of Taos. Our guide, Sam, toured us through Taos with interesting stories about the colorful characters that shaped the town's history. We especially enjoyed the artistic journey through 3 generations of artists. We were able to enjoy the rest of our day trying out many of Sam's recommendations. It was a great value and it exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this tour as a great way to introduce you to this amazing town.

We so enjoyed our time with Sam today. His stories and visuals (including his own drawings), together with walking around to the sites, brought the history of Taos to life. It was interesting to visit several galleries of local art and to actually meet a couple of the artists. I hope to come back to Taos, I will engage Sam again. I suspect he has many more stories to tell.
