Our tour guide Sam was a wealth of knowledge. He seems to know everyone in the community and so many interesting little stories from the past and present. His drawings gave us a look into the subject and kept things on course. He was excellent!

Sam was knowledgeable and affable. He knew many people along the tour and several contribute with their thoughts. He is also an artist and author. Part of the tour included a shop with some of his paintings on display for sale.

First off, this is not a private walking tour, despite being listed as such. Sam says he didnā€™t label it that way, not sure why he wonā€™t get it fixed. We started out with another couple and a rowdy group of 12 traveling together. Sam did a good job keeping the raucousness in check but the other couple bailed quickly. We stuck it out, despite Sam offering to get us a refund. The tour was interesting. Bit of a mix of history, culture and art. Normally I donā€™t care for paid tours that then take you to local shops where youā€™re encouraged to spend more money, but it wasnā€™t like that at all. Just a quick chat w the artists. Sam is soft spoken so it was sometimes difficult to hear everything he said, especially out on the plaza with loud traffic going by.
