Te Au Moana Luau
Te Au Moana, translated as  the ocean tide, has always been a constant throughout Oceania, connecting our islands, peoples and generations. Our Polynesian ancestors traversed these oceans tides for ages and revered them for their life sustaining properties. Their stories, which spoke of their expert skills in fishing, gathering and voyaging demonstrated the tremendous depths of knowledge and respect they had to the Earth and its elements. As Hawaii’s premier entertainment company, Tihati Productions endeavors to bring these stories to life at “Te Au Moana: The Ocean Tide”. We invite you to  dine as the ocean sits peacefully before you, as it has for thousands of years. We ask you to  dance under the Maui skies; the moon and stars await you and we hope that you  discover all the fascinating stories at “Te Au Moana: The Ocean Tide” a spectacular lu’au experience like no other!

We attended the luau on our last night.. What a perfect way to end our trip. The food was delicious and the entertainment was exciting and very well done. The setting was beautiful especially with the warm night and gorgeous sunset as the luau began. My 10 month old baby granddaughter had a fun time and was fascinated with the dancers. We would highly recommend this luau for the whole family.

Went for a week's vacation in Maui with my husband and daughter. We were so overwhelmed by the numerous luaus available around the area. Thank God we decided to booked this Luau even though it was about a 45-minute drive from our resort in Lahaina. Got there 30 minutes early and parking was no problem. Beautiful setting/area with top-notch resorts/hotels. Preferred seats are the best, we were seated right out front of the stage, no obstructed view, beachfront setting with a beautiful view of the setting sun. The food and the show were excellent with beautiful and professional dancers, the female emcee was so much fun and so welcoming, great singing voice as well. Great experience all around, highly recommended!!!

We went to the Te Au Moana Luau on our honeymoon, and had a great time. Definitely helped to get there early to get in line - we didn't pay extra for preferred seating, and we had great seats. The open bar stayed open until 7:30, well after dinner was served which was great. And the Mai Tai's are VERY strong - be warned. As others said, they may seem watered down, but the booze is strong in them. The food was excellent too - our steak and pork were very tasty, as was the mahi-mahi. All the sides were great too. We really enjoyed our tablemates we were seated with, and the show was so fun! The emcee was excellent - the stories were lovely. And all the dancers were really energetic and fun. We bought our photo - the proce was $40+tax. You could probably get another patron to take a similar photo on a phone for you, but we felt it was nice to get the high quality photo to remember the experience since we were on our honeymoon. Booking tickets thru Trip Advisor was slightly cheaper than booking on the luau's website. Parking was easy since we go there around 4:15pm, and it was a bit of a walk thru the Marriott grounds - but not bad. Super fun time!
