Telluride Afternoon Half-Day Rafting Tour on the San Miguel River

Overview
When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.

The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the afternoon like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.

Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

This was the best experience I could have picked for my first rafting trip . My husband and I decided pretty last minute that we wanted to go rafting and weren’t sure what company to use. I’m telling you this is the company to pick. All of the staff were so friendly and excited to be there. Corbin was our “boat captain” and he was a blast. Both informative and fun. He even took our pictures unprompted and sent them to us post trip. During the trip we experienced rain, hail, thunder, lightning. It made the trip 100% better. I honestly recommend the afternoon trip for the chance of rain.

Survived the wild waters of the San Miguel River, thanks to our fearless (and hilarious) guide, WILSON! The river was low, got stuck on a bunch of rocks but WILSON saved the day!!

What a fun experience!! All the crew were amazing, especially our guide Robin!! So friendly, helpful and courteous! We absolutely loved this ride and will definitely come back!! I would not miss this, book it and you won’t be disappointed!! The am’s are a bit elevated of a ride with the afternoons being a softer flow… so choose appropriately.
