This classic via ferrata route is a high-alpine traverse that precariously travels rock faces up to 600 feet above the valley floor below, exhilaratingly exposed in sections that would be impassable without the steel cables and holds along the way. The Telluride Via Ferrata provides unmatched views of Bridal Veil Falls (the highest free-falling waterfall in Colorado), the town of Telluride, and the surrounding peaks of the San Juan Mountains.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Not recommended for children younger than 10 years old or shorter than 5'0".
Not recommended for those with a severe fear of heights.
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness, and be capable of hiking an uneven, rocky trail at above 10,000'.

I have been going to Telluride, CO annually for skiing along with a summer trip now and then. This past September 2023 I made my first visit there on a fall leaf viewing road trip. While staying over a couple of days in Telluride we took an off road jeep excursion up to Imogene Pass with Telluride OffRoad. Adventures. I can't believe I had never done this before. All I can say is it is a must do experience, and Herb, our guide and company owner, was outstanding not only as a driver, but also full of local history and information. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

There are no words. This was the best excursion I have ever done! I was concerned I wouldn’t have the strength or endurance, but it was a perfect 6-ish mile/5 hour outing! Our guide, Chris Dickson was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, encouraging, guided our every move, and took THE best pictures! Unbelievable feat! A must-do in Telluride.

The Telluride Via Ferrata was one of the BEST and EXCITING mountain experiences we have done in the 35 years our Two Moons Hiking Club has been out there in nature. Our guide Jesse kept us SAFE and was very informative on the terrain and geology. We backpack most years for a week in the high country in North America, have high pointed many states (Whitney, Kings Peak, Mt Hood, Elbert, Guadalupe, Black Mesa), Yukon River rafted 100+ miles, and 4-wheel drive Telluride to Ouray. We highly recommend Mountain Trip in Telluride. This trip we are age 65, 70, and 78 so any old guys can go have fun. GET OUT THERE.
